My Story

For over three decades, I've woken up early to serve this community—first as a school bus driver, making sure our kids get to school safely, and then as your representative on Town Council.

I know every street in this town. I've watched the children I drove to kindergarten graduate high school, start families, and become neighbors. That's the kind of connection you can't fake—it comes from showing up, day after day, year after year.

"I've driven your kids, I've fought for your neighborhood, and I'm honored to be your 2025 Citizen of the Year. But I'm not done yet."

Why I'm Running for Re-Election

After 15+ years on Town Council, I've learned that real change takes persistence. I was instrumental in establishing our yearly leaf collection program—something residents asked for again and again until we finally made it happen. That's how I work: I listen, I push, and I don't give up.

There's still more to do. Our infrastructure needs attention, our schools need support, and our families need a voice that truly understands their daily lives. I'm asking for your vote so we can keep moving forward together.

Family

Marcus and I have been married for 26 years. Our three children—Jasmine, Marcus Jr., and Olivia—all graduated from our town's public schools. Jasmine is now a nurse at the county hospital, Marcus Jr. is finishing his teaching degree, and Olivia is a junior at State University studying environmental science.

When I'm not working or volunteering, you can find me at the town library (I'm in three book clubs), tending my vegetable garden, or cheering on the high school basketball team—Go Tigers!

My Promise

  • Hold monthly town halls in different neighborhoods
  • Return every constituent call and email within 48 hours
  • Make all my voting record and meeting attendance public
  • Refuse contributions from developers seeking town contracts
  • Put community needs ahead of political games
"I don't have all the answers. But after 15 years, I know how to listen, bring people together, and get things done. That's what I've always done, and that's what I'll keep doing for our town."
